European Supply Chain Managers team up to design new solutions to the pandemic and political crisis
The shock brought by the COVID 19 pandemics on global supply chains was evident to professionals and even ordinary people. Disruptions like longer transit time from the Far East, unbalanced distribution of containers on the globe, unprecedented rise in ocean freight costs as well as the risk of single and concentrated sourcing have been affecting the operations of many businesses in Europe and were outstandingly reported by the press.
The Russian-Ukrainian crisis is bringing more uncertainty and takes some options off the table.
ELA would like to pick up the challenge and contribute to supporting the competitiveness of European businesses by pooling ideas, suggestions and practices of the Supply Chain Community to lay the framework and identify options to make European and global supply chains more robust, flexible and resilient
